Devon has been practicing meditation intensively since 1998. She has trained with some of the great teachers of the Tibetan and Insight traditions and has completed extensive meditation retreat under their guidance, including more than 14 months of intensive and solitary retreat during 2014 and 2015.
In addition, Devon holds two master's degrees, one in writing (MFA) and a second in teaching (MAT). She was a classroom teacher at the high school and college levels for a decade before becoming a full time mindfulness teacher.
A graduate of Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Community Dharma Leaders Program, Devon teaches mindfulness at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, to preservice teachers at UW-Madison through the Center for Healthy Minds, to teachers in the Madison Municipal School District, and with ABC News anchor Dan Harris's 10% Happier online program.
In addition, she is currently participating in the Insight Meditation Society's five-year teacher training program, under the guidance of DaRa Williams, Joseph Goldstein, James Baraz, and other luminaries.
She leads workshops with Craig in the United States and Europe and co-leads residential retreats in the Insight tradition at IMS and around the country.
